Scripture: Psalm 100
Focus Verse: Psalm 100:2a
Serve the LORD with celebration!
Commentary: Some versions translate the Hebrew word iv'dû as serve and some as “worship.” It gives us an indication that servanthood is a way to worship and celebrate God. Jesus lived his relationship with God as a servant, and as we continue to follow Jesus, may we find the goodness of God in serving others.
Reflection: How do you worship God through serving others? How has servanthood helped you follow Jesus?
ACTS Prayer
Adoration: We bless your Name, Creator God, for you are good and all of your works are wonderful! I celebrate you!
Confession: I admit that I sometimes grow weary of serving others. Help me find the joy that comes when I acknowledge that in serving others, I am worshiping You.
Thanksgiving: Thank you for showing me opportunities in my life and my church to worship you by serving others.
Supplication: I pray for those who are forced and coerced into service, especially victims of human trafficking.
ACTS of Faith: Learn about the signs of human trafficking and make a commitment to report any signs you see.
